VERSE:
When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, “surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it”.

THOUGHT:
Even though the Lord is omnipresent (He is in all places at all times), Jacob needed a miraculous encounter with the Lord in a dream to be aware of His presence. God is present everywhere at once, but our awareness of His presence is often times hindered by many things: the busyness of work, the fellowship of friends, time spent with family… in other words: life in general.

APPLICATION:
Make an effort to be more aware of God’s presence in your life at all times. Rather than having God as part of your life (even if He is the biggest part of your life) include Him in EVERY aspect of your life (including friends, family and work).

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, help me to be more aware of your presence in my life. I commit myself to making you central in every aspect of my life, and I ask for your help to do so. Consume me, O God! In Jesus’ Name I pray, AMEN!
