VERSE:
He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.

THOUGHT:
Since the day Jesus ascended into heaven, harvest time for bringing souls into the kingdom of heaven has started. As God’s children, it is our duty to be prudent, wise sons by winning souls for Him. In Matthew 9:37 Jesus said “the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few”. The reason that the workers are few is because there are many Christians sleeping during the harvest.

APPLICATION:
Do not be a disgraceful son or daughter who is caught sleeping during the harvest time. Wake up, pick up your tools, and start going for souls!

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, help me get beyond myself and prove to be a prudent son by being more effective in harvesting souls for your kingdom. Help me to not bring disgrace to you by sleeping during the harvest. In Jesus’ Name I pray, AMEN!
