THOUGHT:
Thousands of people every Sunday give a monetary offering to God as a substitute for complete submission. The worst part is they are only giving with the motive of getting it back, plus interest. God is not so much interested in receiving an offering, than He is receiving a soul.

APPLICATION:
Examine the motives of your sacrifices. Why are you offering what you offer? Is it to glorify God, to help advance His Kingdom, or to be blessed? Ask God to reveal to you the intentions of your heart, and to give you a pure heart with pure intentions.

PRAYER:
Father, I pray that you reveal to me the motives of my heart in giving. I pray that you shape me into the likeness of your son who gave His life sacrificially with pure intentions. In Jesus’ Name I pray, AMEN!
