VERSE:

THOUGHT:
Have you ever sat down to read the bible, and half way down the first page you think to yourself “what does that mean”? It is Christ Himself who gives us the ability to understand the scriptures. We need to rely on His Spirit in order to get revelation of what God is saying in the scriptures.

APPLICATION:
When you read the bible today, first pray to God that He will give you understanding. Ask Him to open your mind to understand the Scriptures.

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for your word, and ask that you open my mind to give me understanding as to what you are trying to tell me.
