VERSE:
So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?
Luke 16:11

THOUGHT:
If your desire is to be entrusted with true riches by doing things for the Kingdom – making lasting, eternal impact – your impact is going to be a reflection of what you have done with the natural things God has blessed you with. Worldly wealth is not limited to finances. Some people want to go to Seminary, but they don’t want to study now; they want to have Billy Graham sized crusades, but won’t talk with their coworkers; they want to be entrusted to oversee ministries, but they can’t be entrusted to oversee their own finances. Having big dreams is not a bad thing, however we need to be faithful where we are or all they will ever be is just dreams.

APPLICATION:
Write out a list of everything God has blessed you with. Think of ways you can increase those blessings in Jesus’ name; whether it is increasing the spirituality of your family, getting out of debt so that you can give more to missions, or setting a good example at work so that your co-workers and employers will see.

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, forgive me for overlooking and under appreciating the many blessings that you have given me right now where I am. I pray that you give me the wisdom and ability needed to make a lasting impact in the worldly wealth that you have given me, so that you can entrust me with true riches. In Jesus’ Name I pray, AMEN
