VERSE:
In his pride the wicked does not seek Him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.
— Psalm 10:4
THOUGHT:
It may happen to some people more than others, but the busyness of the day seems to entangle everyone of us at some point. We wake up to an alarm and rush to work. We check our emails, voicemails, text messages, Facebook accounts and Twitter blogs. Our minds are filled with advertisements, music, entertainment, worries, pleasures, the news, and our busy schedules. We fill our thoughts with so much stuff, that we don’t leave any room for God at the end of the day; yet He is the one who created the day for us to bring Him glory. Something needs to give.
APPLICATION:
Stop thinking about all of the stuff that has cluttered your mind for a moment, and ask yourself “how can I bring God glory today?” Ask “why am I living today? What am I supposed to do?” Seek God through prayer, reading the Bible, and meditation. Stop giving yourself over to useless thoughts, and make room for God.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I’m sorry for allowing so many things take your place in my thoughts. I pray that I would be able to acknowledge and testify to the supremacy of Christ in all things. In Jesus’ Name I pray, AMEN!
Wow with everything happining in my life right now I have forgotten to make room for him and his will. Thanks sean
