Produce fruit in keeping with repentance
VERSE:
Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.
— Matthew 3:8

THOUGHT:
For many people, repentance is the thing that you are supposed to do at some point in time to take care of the “sin thing”; and once you repent you can go on with your life as usual, so long as you still “believe” in Jesus. However, nothing could be further from the truth. Repentance is not like some flu shot you take at the beginning of Christianity. Repentance is the Christian’s way of life. The proof that you have truly repented is that you are still repenting today. Visible fruit is the outcome of true repentance.

APPLICATION:
Produce fruit in keeping with repentance! Daily look inwardly for areas in which you may need to grow in producing fruit.

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, empower me to produce lasting, visible fruit in keeping with repentance. In Jesus’ Name I pray, AMEN!
