Tell of God’s Salvation, Though You Know Not Its Measure

Spread the love

VERSE:
My mouth will tell of your righteousness, of your salvation all day long, though I know not its measure.
— Psalm 71:15

THOUGHT:
One of the reasons that some Christians give for not sharing their faith is because they “don’t know how to”. First, if you are really a Christian, you know how to share your faith because at some point you came to faith in Christ. All you have to do is be a witness of what happened at that point. Second, we will never know the full measure of God’s salvation; therefore we should never refrain from telling of God’s righteousness because of a “lack of knowledge”. The psalmist understood that the righteousness of God was infinitely greater than he could ever understand; but regardless, he said that he would tell of God’s salvation all day long.

APPLICATION:
Don’t refrain from telling of God’s goodness because you “don’t know enough”. Keep the righteousness of God and His salvation at the tip of your tongue all day long, even though you know not its measure.

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I worship you for your righteousness, and I thank you for your salvation. I will tell of your salvation all day long, though I know not its measure. Give me the courage and the boldness to be a witness for you, and give me wisdom to do so with clarity. In Jesus’ Name I pray, AMEN!
