THOUGHT:
By the time I was 22, I had only read 1 book all the way through; and it was because I had to in order not to fail English my senior year. I could never comprehend anything I read, especially if I tried to read the bible. When I surrendered all to God, I wanted to get to know who He was, and I knew that the place to find Him was in His word. I would read the word every night, and pray for understanding so that I could know my God. When I did this, it was as if blinders were removed from my eyes. The unfolding of His word gave me light! He gave understanding to the simple!

APPLICATION:
Open God’s word every day, and pray for understanding. Cultivate a healthy relationship with God consisting of 2-way communication. Expect that God will reveal His mysteries to you.

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for giving light at the unfolding of your word, and understanding to the simple. I ask that you reveal yourself to me through your word, and help me understand your attributes, your grace, your love, and your power more clearly. In Jesus’ Name I pray, AMEN!
